Land Holdings - The Peckham Farm
Five generations of Peckhams have made their living from farming their land on the northwest corner of Peckham Road, overlooking the Sakonnet River.
In 2007, owners Albert and Mary Jane Peckham, who help their son, Rick, with Peckham’s Greenhouse, decided to sell 28 acres of their land to the Ag Trust, including 14 acres planted in grape by the Sakonnet Vineyards and five acres farmed by Skip Paul ofWishingstone Farm. Their legacy ensures that the rich farmland that has sustained their family for over 140 years will forever remain in agriculture.
