Land Holdings - Bodington Property
In 2007, Geordie A. Bodington conveyed the ownership of 49 acres off Simmons Road to the Ag Trust and sold to the Trust the development rights on an additional 10 acres at a bargain sale price.
Located just east of the Little Compton Public Safety Complex, the property includes upland habitat and freshwater wetlands, including a large expanse of red maple swamp. The area hosts a range of native plants ranging from swamp rose to American holly, and its wetlands help to absorb, store, and filter fresh water for Little Compton wells.
